Paintball tech mats are one of the most important accessories to have for maintaining your paintball gun. These rubber mats are much more than appear and many have additional features that make maintenance less of a chore and create a working space for you wherever you are. Whether you’re at your kitchen counter, a dedicated work bench, or a picnic table in the woods, a paintball tech mat creates an area for you to do maintenance. Many of these mats come with additional features such as grooves which keep oil from dripping off the sides and onto the floor. They also help keep screws from becoming “jumpers.” In fact, some of the nicer tech mats have features like magnetic sections to keep screws in their place, even on an angle.

The Planet Eclipse Flex Tech mat is an excellent mat for maintaining your paintball gun. On the left hand side of the mat, there are three rectangular compartments to hold screws, o-rings, and other pieces without letting them roll away onto the floor. The perpendicular grooves also keep parts and liquids from escaping off the mat while also increasing the friction on the paintball gun. This mat is very flexible and can be rolled up and easily stored in a paintball gear bag.
Exalt HD Rubber Tech Mat
The Exalt HD Rubber Tech Mat is a tech mat that’s as tough as you are. This mat is made with high-impact rubber that resists staining and won’t absorb moisture. It also has molded trays on the right-hand side of the mat to hold extra parts that you can’t lose; on the right hand side of the tray, you’ll find an o-ring gauge chart to help you quickly determine which size o-ring you’ll need for your replacement. Finally, the main center portion of the tray is checkered with a hexagonal friction pattern to keep your paintball gun and different parts from rolling away and getting lost.
