Paintball Barrel Tips
Paintball Barrel Tips
Barrel tips have grown increasingly sophisticated and engineered over the past several years. Many players have found a number of benefits with using advanced barrel tips and barrel systems with inserts such as increased accuracy, stealth, and precision. As a result, many players opt to change their stock barrel systems for better barrel tips and additional inserts.
Deadlywind Whip Tip
The Deadlywind Whip Tip offers a lightweight carbon fiber tip option for existing 2-piece barrel kits. The 14" tip weighs only 23 grams, making it the lightest available tip. What sets the Whip Tip apart from other carbon fiber barrels is its unique three-layer construction. It features a 2x2 satin Twill exterior, uni-direction fibers arranged in a strong multi-vector pattern, and a super slick "Silkfiber" interior that is safe for swabbing. The tip is CNC-ported with three rows of straight ports, then meticulously hand-assembled and quality-checked. Freak XL ACP Barrel Tip
The Freak XL ACP Barrel Tip represent a notable advancement in the Freak XL system, especially in adverse conditions like bad weather, mud, and paint fill. Designed for All-Conditions Performance, these barrels feature a new front end, four rows of external porting for balanced air pressure and a smooth shot, and an innovative internal design with sixteen rows of straight rifling. This straight rifling, unlike traditional spiral rifling, keeps the paintball on a linear path while better handling barrel fouling. This design effectively clears obstacles like dust, mud, or rain, preventing inaccuracies and ball breakage. Tested by elite players, the ACP barrel fronts deliver cleaner, faster shooting and enhanced accuracy in challenging environments. Frequently asked questions by paintballers
Does a longer paintball barrel increase accuracy?
Generally speaking, a longer barrel will increase accuracy. However, there is a point of diminishing returns. When paintball barrels get too long, they create a lot of drag on the paintball and end up reducing the velocity that the paintballs can achieve. This negatively affects range and increases the likelihood of bouncing rather than breaking.
What is the best barrel length for paintball?
As mentioned above, there is a sweet spot for paintball barrels that maximizes accuracy without creating too much drag on the paintball. It seems that the optimal length for a paintball barrel is around 14 - 16,” however they can extend all the way to 20” while still maintaining a high degree of effectiveness.
