Empire AXE 2.0
Just like many other guns that have come from the Empire lineup, the AXE 2.0 is a revamped version of its parent version. Empire realized that the Axe was an incredibly popular paintball gun among avid paintballers, however, there was room to improve.
The result is the AXE 2.0, which has substantial improvements to the barrel, the foregrip, and the overall aesthetic of the gun. In addition, there are a number of modifications and upgrades that can be made to the AXE 2.0 paintball gun as well, making this one of the most modular markers on the market.
Empire AXE 2.0 Summary
For those who loved the original Empire AXE, we have great news! The Empire AXE 2.0 features substantially improved accuracy, less weight, a re-engineered foregrip, and weather-resistant materials.
Empire AXE 2.0’s new barrel is made of two pieces which improves accuracy and accepts Pipe barrel backs for a flush fit with paintballs in the barrel. The AXE 2.0 is also lighter than previous generations, weighing approximately 10% less.
The most outstanding feature of the Empire 2.0 paintball gun is the foregrip which is aesthetically different and also functionally different. The micro-texture on the foregrip also helps players to grip the marker even when their hands are covered with slick paint.
Finally, the new connections between the foregrip and the body, as well as the foregrip material, make this the most weatherproof AXE paintball gun yet. All the components are anti-rust and anti-oxidation and can be easily cleaned.
Empire Axe 2.0 Feel
How does the Empire AXE 2.0 Feel? In a word: solid. The Empire AXE 2.0 is a solid piece of machinery and the re-design team paid special attention to the aesthetics and function of the gun. For example, the foregrip is covered with a special non-slip material that holds sturdily in your hand regardless of whether you have gloves, if it’s raining, or if it’s covered with paint.
The original Empire AXE was also a little jumpy when shot. However, improved electronics and air systems have made this paintball gun shoot as smooth as butter.
Empire AXE 2.0 Features
One of the AXE 2.0’s most prominent upgrades is the air system. The system is much more streamlined and low profile. The regulator on the original Axe was built and frequently got in the way while on the field. The new air lever is hidden to keep players from accidentally turning off the air in the middle of an exchange.
The barrels are also ported like the Mini GS, which helps improve the marker's accuracy and stability while shooting. In addition to the sticky grip, it is more firmly secured so that it doesn’t fall off, exposing the electronics in the same way that the original Axe did.
Finally, the AXE 2.0 has eyes so players can pull the electronics out of the marker without disassembling the entire marker. This allows for faster clearing and easier replacement of the ball detents if they should ever wear out.
