Frequently asked questions by paintballers…

How much does the HK Army Aerolite Tank Weigh?

The HK Army Aerolite Air Tank weighs approximately 2 lbs and 4 oz due to the lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum used. This is one of the lighter tanks on the market and provides a great balance between security and lightweight materials.

Is the HK Army Aerolite Tank an HPA Tank or a CO2 Tank?

This tank is an HPA tank. Most paintball marker systems have moved from CO2 to HPA for a number of different reasons. First, high-pressure air (HPA) is a much more reliable system and is starting to become cheaper than CO2 since HPA is just high-pressure atmosphere–it’s all around us. The second great advantage of HPA is that the temperature change when the gasses expand is much less problematic than a CO2 tank. When CO2 expands, it undergoes rapid cooling which can negatively affect the functioning of your paintball marker. The solenoids can freeze and this causes balls to break as well as your gun to seize up. Needless to say, don’t try storing CO2 in an HPA tank, and definitely don’t use CO2 in an HPA marker. How efficient is the HK Army Aerolite Tank?
